Christmas has come early in 3K, and so has The Polar Express. This week we have enjoyed sharing this story and learning our own version, using pictures and actions. The children have written their own, super story maps like this one, with different colours for key words, pictures and punctuation.
Today we have talked about different elements of language, such as nouns, adjectives and adverbs, and have used these to write some super sentences based on The Polar Express.
Kitty- The Gigantic Polar Express frantically rushed along the snow covered road.
Sophie- A young boy ws peacefully in his bed while the snow fell gently.
Jude- The colossal, dirt covered train cut through the night air.
Alfie- Gracefully, beautiful snowflakes flew down and landed quietly.
