What a fantastic trip to Pizza Express! Miss King was very jealous that she didn't get to take home a pizza for tea...

The Great BGS Time Off
Don't forget to practice telling the time over Half Term. You could try some tasks from The Great BGS Time Off, if you want! Don't worry, the judges don't look quite so terrifying in real life!
Get stuck into a book!
This week, 3K have been completing some book reviews. All of these books come highly recommended for some half term reading!

It's raining, it's pouring...
Unfortunately, the boys' rugby matches had to be cancelled yesterday, as the ground was just too slippery, but the girls enjoyed their matches. Everybody was very impressed by their skills and determination and they very much deserved to win 3 out of 4 matches! Well done, girls!

A trip in a time machine...
Yesterday, we had an exciting visit from the archaeologist, Howard Carter, who answered our questions about discovering Tutankhamun's tomb. He said it was a terrifying, but also, very exciting event!
We used some of the things he said to practice using speech punctuation.

Tomb Raiders
We have been finding out about the discovery of Tutankhamun's tomb. The 3000 year old mummy was a little bit gruesome but we thought the treasures were very impressive!
We've done lots of practice, ordering the events, and talking about what happened in detail, so that we will be able to write excellent newspaper reports about the event.
Did you know that their is a rumour that the mummy was cursed?

Science Assembly
What an exciting start to the day! Earthquakes, atoms and the challenge of designing a whole new world.
During our special Science assembly, Ollie was turned into a fossil, Mini was a very ferocious tectonic plate, which caused a town-destroying earthquake, and we all learnt an awful lot of new things!

Tea Time Concert
This morning, Mrs Whitehead spoke to us about the Tea Time concert. This is a lovely chance for children to perform a piece of music or a song in front of family and friends, in a relaxed and supportive environment.
Mrs Whitehead would like to know who would like to perform in the concert by Monday and the concert will take place on Wednesday at 4pm.
I'm looking forward to seeing and hearing lots of children perform!

Boy King Dead!
This week, 3K received some shocking news from our resident reporter, Mrs Stone. This news has been met by much interest and, with the help of Miss Nattress' detective skills, we have been trying our best to work out just how the young pharaoh, Tutankhamun, died.
Ask us about the newspaper report we have learnt using this story map to find out more.
