After many good, and varied, suggestions, we have settled on our class song.

The class are very excited about the idea of some moves and small group and solo singing, so we will be working hard to perfect our performance over the next 2 weeks.
I know that 3K will deliver a fantastic performance!
Welcome to the 3K blog. We are a class of 26 people who like to work together. There are 11 girls, 13 boys, one teacher and one teaching assistant. Our teacher is called Miss King and our teaching assistant is Miss Nattress. Thank you for reading our Blog. We hope you will come back to see the update next week.

Class Assembly
Well done everyone, I was incredibly proud of you all this morning; you spoke clearly, sang beautifully and were a super example to the rest of the school. Thank you for all of your hard work!

Food Fight!
Today the class have been performing poems in their drama lesson. I believe a lump of spaghetti was being thrown at this point!
Miss Plaisted has asked if the children could please bring in their own choice of poem for next lesson. One that would be good to work on as a group
or a class!

3K Class assembly
On Friday, 3K will be sharing their class assembly with the rest of the school. The topic is 'Enjoying Learning'.
Some of the children are going to share the things they enjoy learning and have come up with some lovely thoughts about why this might be. This is one of my favourites; I like learning History because learning about the past makes me excited about the future.
We have also been talking about the fact that, whilst there might be things that we don't enjoy learning, we should remember that we are lucky that we have the learning opportunities we do.
We're going to share this video with the school to demonstrate this point.

Finally we are going to sing this song. I think it has a lovely message about the way that everybody is learning throughout their lives.

Chocolates anyone?
Year 3 have been investigating 3D shapes and their nets this week.
Do you like the giant box of chocolates which Mrs Penny's group made?

We don't mind getting our hands dirty!
Inspired by our trip to the recycling centre, we thought we would have a look at how good the other classes in school are at using their recycling bins properly!
Don't worry, we wore rubber gloves and washed our hands carefully afterwards.
5NH produced the least rubbish, but a lot of recycling. 4T had a bit more rubbish but a lot less recycling. We can't decide which is better! What do you think?

Invasion!
Do you like the fierce Celtic warriors who have invaded our classroom to protect their roundhouse village?

Shape shifters
This week we are thinking about 3D shapes in Maths.
Mrs Penny's group tried making shapes with spaghetti and marshmallows. It was very fiddly.
The marshmallows made great vertices and the spaghetti made the edges.

A load of hot air
This afternoon we begun a new DT project calleed Moving Monsters.
For this project we are going to use pneumatic systems. That means, using air to make things move!
We investigated these systems using syringes, tubes, balloons and washing-up liquid bottles.

We even managed to pick up this enormous book!
